My fiancé and I just recently announced our engagement to extended family and friends via Facebook. We are thrilled and beyond excited with all the positive responses and love....except from my aunt. We've both been married before so it's a second marriage, which I feel is no big deal and shouldn't need to be commented on. My aunt ends up commenting, "Second times a charm!" Which really...I know she was trying to mean well but it just comes off so terribly wrong. I honestly don't want to be reminded of my ex during this really exciting, lovey time. I just feel like bringing up the fact that I'm divorced is a bit uncouth while commenting on my new engagement.Anyone else have cringe worthy responses to your engagement announcement?
