BHLDN Sample Sale Experience - Seattle, WA

I’m enjoying the write ups of the BHLDN sample sale experiences, and haven’t seen one for Seattle yet so I wanted to share!I went with 2 friends, and we got in line at 10:00am for doors that opened at 11:00am. We were about 5th or 6th in line. Once the doors opened the line was pretty long, with everyone having people with them I would guess around 200 people, so maybe 50-60 brides? They let us in and we had to go upstairs to the BHLDN section (it's upstairs in an Anthropologie store). Like the reviewer from DC said, everyone was power walking, like they wanted to run but had the dignity not to, which was entertaining. They funneled us into a line and asked groups to come through one by one, pretty low key though, she maybe wrote something on a clipboard before pointing us to the dresses. Now for the dresses... just one rack of around 25-30 dresses. I assumed since this sale runs Sunday-Tuesday they would have a crap ton of dresses, but nope! My friends and I grabbed any size 4's that looked like a style I would like and headed for the dressing rooms. It was pretty easy, they gave you a room and we took our time. When I would come out to the large mirrors they would help pin the dresses so I could see them as a better fit, and we would take some photos.Of the few I tried on: The Reagan - it was $200 and in really poor condition. I think it would have cost a lot getting it wearable. I also tried on The Freya - it was $300 and in better condition, but would have needed new straps and some TLC still - and also was a little too glitzy anyways (for what I'm looking for). There were a couple of others, but nothing that I was super into, and all in sort of rough shape. We lingered around the rack a little longer to see if anything got brought back out. Some stuff did, but nothing I was interested in. Meanwhile, one of my friends was looking through some of their new dresses and pulled out The Tinsley - It's $260 new, and was totally the style I was looking for which was a lightweight outdoor wedding type of dress. I tried it on and it fit wonderfully, needs to be hemmed (because short) and taken in a bit on the bust, but it's simple and beautiful and only $260!Overall I'm happy with the experience and found a dress I love!TL;DR: BHLDN Seattle sample sale had very few dresses and they weren't in great shape, but I saw people finding and buying some and I found a dress I wanted even though it wasn't a sample! via /r/weddingplanning http://ift.tt/2uGjj5S
