Should I invite a friend who won't really know anyone else at my wedding?

I have a friend who I met during graduate school. She was the only fellow student I really got close to during that time. So now I'm finalizing my wedding guest list (wedding is intimate - 50 people each on my side and the groom's), and while I would like to invite her, I'm worried she might feel uncomfortable during the wedding as she barely knows anyone there (she knows only a handful of them but only met them once and do not really have anything in common with them). Because of this, I'm also not sure where to place her in the seating chart.
