Having read your concerns here about wedding photography, it occurred to me that some of you may be able to use this post.Several weeks ago, other local photographers and myself created an event called Wedding Photography for Brides. It will be held on Tuesday, July 25th, at the Casual Pint in Farragut. It is not a sales pitch; rather, it is a panel of photographers (technically, we are competitors to each other) to talk about what is in the contract (in addition to being a photographer, I am also a lawyer, so I will covering that bit), what goes on during the day photo-wise, tips for working with your photographer. We will also have a Q&A session and, of course, there will be beer for sale (the Casual Pint says there should be a food truck as well). We're calling it Brides n' Brews, although ALL types of couples are welcome.We are doing this to help with the craziness of wedding planning at least for photography and if it proves popular, we'd like to have more information nights with other types of wedding vendors, e.g., caterers, florists, etc. Informed brides and grooms make our job easier.Did I mention it's FREE?
