We finally got the pictures from our 3/25/17 wedding, and we could not be happier!

First, the pics!My husband and I were married at a beautiful venue in south Alabama. We came in under our budget of $18,000.I wore Maggie Sottero's Phyllis dress, the women wore gowns by BariJay (a compromise from mismatched dresses that I wanted, and matchy dresses that my mother envisioned), and the men wore black suits and ties from Men's Warehouse. Our photographer was AMAZING. Included in the package, she gave us ALL of the pictures and a limited release to use them and print them as we please. It has been worth the wait!My RAVES from wedding planning: The Snapchat filter we got was worth every penny. The venue we chose provided a liaison/coordinator who was FABULOUS and kept us on track all day! My bouquet was STUNNING. It made me want to weep! The FOOD was amazing - we had a huge charcuterie table and my husband and I had a private dinner so that we could actually eat without being disturbed. It was perfect! The FAILS: First, rain moved our ceremony indoors, which was fine but the guestbook was shoved into a corner where no one signed it. We did a "fake leave" so that our photographer could get the great pics and we could let loose... DON'T DO IT. It kind of killed the party after! No one saved the leftover cake (ugh) except our top tier, which was stored overnight with the fresh flowers still on it... It will not be edible next march.Just typing that paragraph made me cringe. I don't think back on the crap that went wrong - and there were other things that went wrong. We are so relieved that our wedding day is over, and thankful for our gorgeous pictures to remember the event by! (Being married is wonderful!) via /r/weddingplanning http://ift.tt/2eYY7F5
