How to tell friend I don't want her as a bridesmaid?

I'll be getting married next year. I have three old friends and together we make up a four. I'm fairly close to the other two and want them in my wedding party. The third I like a lot, but I wouldn't say we were close. There are other friends outside of the group that I'd want in my party who have done more for me over the years.Myself and my other friends weren't even invited to this girls wedding when she got married, because they had a fairly low cost wedding and because her partners friends wanted to go and his needs always come before hers, there was no room for us.I've also said I don't want children at the wedding which she was really offended by because she has an eleven year old son.
