My Grandma is telling people my partner and I are engaged because my cousin got engaged in December?

Last night I get a series of texts from my Cousin, which consist of my her claiming that My grandma told her "bffwedthrow and fh are getting married because you are, they didn't even want to get married before. But don't worry they aren't going to have a big wedding like yours, probably a cheap backyard BBQ wedding"First of all, they live in Florida and I live in Canada. Second of all, I've been with my partner 3 times as long as my cousin (not that this matters, but for context, we're not getting shot-gun married). Third of all, the last time we were in florida my partner and I literally talked to my grandparents about our plan to get married, before my cousin was even dating her Fiance. Fourth of all, we aren't having a cheap backyard bbq wedding? Like, not that there is anything wrong with that at all but it's just not our plan?I'm so baffled as to where this info comes from, and I find it mildly upsetting because it makes it's just such a mischaracterization of who my partner and I are. I'm sad and upset.I also told my cousin we aren't planning on getting hitched anywhere near her wedding date, and I don't think we're having similar weddings, if that was a concern of hers. I sort of feel like it might be considering the way in which she brought all this up which felt sort of petty and aggressive.Any advice would be appreciated.
